We are working with a growing Montessori-inspired nursery group to find an experienced and passionate Deputy Nursery Manager. You will support the Nursery Manager in delivering exceptional care and learning, ensuring the nursery runs smoothly and remains a safe, engaging, and inspiring place for children to grow. What is expected of you?
As Deputy Nursery Manager, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery, supporting staff and maintaining a safe, stimulating, and high-quality learning environment.
- Assisting in the delivery and embedding of a Montessori-inspired curriculum that supports children’s development and learning.
- Leading, mentoring, and inspiring practitioners to maintain high standards of care and practice.
- Supporting the Nursery Manager with administration, compliance, and health & safety requirements, ensuring regulatory standards are met.
- Building strong, positive relationships with parents, carers, and external partners.
- Taking responsibility for the nursery in the absence of the Manager.
- Demonstrating and promoting the organisation’s values, creating a nurturing and inclusive culture for staff and children alike.
What is this employer looking for?
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early years education, with experience in a supervisory or deputy role. You’ll be confident in taking on leadership responsibilities when required and committed to driving high standards across the nursery.
- Experience in a supervisory or deputy role within a nursery or early years setting.
- An approved Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding, and regulatory requirements.
- Confident ICT skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive, positive approach with the ability to motivate and support your team.
