Deputy Nursery Manager - £42k + Bonus + Benefits

What is expected of you?

As Deputy Nursery Manager, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery, supporting staff and maintaining a safe, stimulating, and high-quality learning environment.

  • Assisting in the delivery and embedding of a Montessori-inspired curriculum that supports children’s development and learning.
  • Leading, mentoring, and inspiring practitioners to maintain high standards of care and practice.
  • Supporting the Nursery Manager with administration, compliance, and health & safety requirements, ensuring regulatory standards are met.
  • Building strong, positive relationships with parents, carers, and external partners.
  • Taking responsibility for the nursery in the absence of the Manager.
  • Demonstrating and promoting the organisation’s values, creating a nurturing and inclusive culture for staff and children alike.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early years education, with experience in a supervisory or deputy role. You’ll be confident in taking on leadership responsibilities when required and committed to driving high standards across the nursery.

  • Experience in a supervisory or deputy role within a nursery or early years setting.
  • An approved Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding, and regulatory requirements.
  • Confident ICT skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A proactive, positive approach with the ability to motivate and support your team.
