Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deputy Manager to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will support the overall management of our nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for early childhood education, with the ability to effectively communicate with both staff and parents.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the day-to-day management of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Supervise and support staff in delivering high-quality childcare and educational experiences.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Manage daily operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and maintaining a safe environment for children.
- Drive initiatives to enhance the quality of care and education provided to children.
- Foster positive relationships with children, staff, and parents to create a welcoming community atmosphere.
- Support the development and implementation of educational programmes that cater to children's individual needs.
- Maintain accurate records related to children’s development and nursery operations.
Experience
- Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education settings is essential.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Experience working with children in a nursery or similar environment is highly desirable.
- A background in managing or supporting teams within an educational context is advantageous.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for potential transport responsibilities.
