Early Years Operations Manager - Multi-Site - £50k - £65k Package

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced early years operations professional who thrives in a multi-site, commercial, and people-focused role.
You’ll take ownership of the operational, financial, and people performance across several nursery settings - working closely with senior leadership while supporting and developing strong Nursery Managers to deliver outstanding outcomes for children, families, and staff.
You'll also be the operational lead to support the owners open up brand new settings within the portfolio from start to finish.
This role suits someone who enjoys being strategic and hands-on, balancing high standards of care and compliance with commercial performance, growth, and team development.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Leading the day-to-day operations across multiple nursery settings
- Driving occupancy, retention, and revenue performance
- Supporting Nursery Managers with leadership, performance, and people management
- Ensuring compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, and regulatory requirements
- Managing budgets, staffing ratios, and cost control
- Supporting inspections, audits, new openings, and performance improvement plans
- Acting as a senior escalation point for operational, people, and parent matters
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience in an Operational, multi-site leadership role within early years or Nursery Groups.
- Strong understanding of EYFS, Ofsted frameworks, safeguarding, and compliance
- Commercially astute, with experience managing occupancy, budgets, and resources
- Confident leader with experience managing large teams (40+ staff)
- Hands-on, solution-focused, and comfortable balancing strategy with delivery
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel between sites
You will have:
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (Level 5+ preferred)
- Experience supporting inspections, turnarounds, or growth projects
- Management, HR, or business qualifications are a plus
- A track record in a similar role
